Step One: Clearing Tall Weeds, Grass, and Junk

The first area we tackled was between the house and the detached garage. This backyard had a unique layout, with the garage set farther back on the property. The space between the house and garage was heavily overgrown and cluttered with debris.

Work performed in this area:

• Removed tall weeds and thick grass

• Hauled debris into our truck for disposal

We used our grapple attachment, which allows us to grab and pull vegetation quickly and efficiently. Once the weeds and fencing were removed, we switched attachments to begin light leveling.

Before leveling completely, we gathered remaining trash along the edges by pulling it into piles and loading it into the truck. After that, we leveled the area, leaving it ready for new grass and landscaping.

Clearing Overgrown Vegetation Near the Garage

Next, we moved closer to the garage, where we encountered overgrown tree branches and dense vegetation. These branches were cut down using a chainsaw and then loaded into our truck using the grapple attachment.

As foliage removal continued across the property, the transformation was immediate. With each section cleared, the backyard became more open, usable, and safe.

Hidden Pavers: A Common Surprise in Overgrown Yards

By the end of the project, the backyard looked completely different. What started as a jungle of weeds, vines, brush, and junk was transformed into a clean, open space ready for grass.

The homeowner handled the final step—putting down grass seed and straw—but once it grows in, there will be no sign this yard was ever overgrown.
