For instance, in one of our recent jobs, we were tasked with removing a sizable mound of dirt and debris from a customer’s backyard. Upon arrival, we observed that the mound was not just a simple pile of dirt; it was covered with an assortment of weeds, fallen leaves, and a tarp that had been placed on top, likely to keep the mound hidden from view. Utilizing our specialized grappler attachment, we efficiently removed the tarp and the organic debris that had accumulated over time. As we began to excavate the layers of dirt, we quickly discovered that there was more than just dirt beneath the surface. Underneath the topsoil layer, we encountered some clean fill and even a substantial layer of crushed asphalt. This unexpected find was significant because such materials can prevent anything from taking root and growing effectively in the soil. Therefore, it became crucial for us to remove these layers to ensure that the area would be suitable for future planting and landscaping endeavors.

We meticulously scraped away the dirt, clean fill, and asphalt all the way down to sidewalk level, ensuring a clean and thorough job. As a final step in our process, we switched to our leveler attachment to achieve the perfect ground level. The result was impressive: by the time we finished, there was no trace left of the mound that had once occupied this backyard. The ground was now perfectly flat and primed for planting new grass or any other landscaping projects the customer might have in mind.
